Imperial War Museum

Everything about this museum ( the Imperial War Museum, Salford, England, designed by Daniel Liebeskind ) is intended to disturb.  The museum entrance is like the entrance to a bunker, its doorway set at an angle, at least one floor slopes disconcertingly, and the main structures of the building ( representing the three theatres of war - land, sea and sky ) seem to clash against each other.  This view is of the structure representing war in the sky, arising out of the sea.

The shape reminds me of a submarine, well take and  great B&W treatment. Looks like the architect did a great job in creating this museum.

A mysterious and moody image with hard vs. soft shapes.  Abstract.  Nice interpretation.

Ian,
I really like the image.  I wonder how it would look with a little more sky in it.  The obelisk appears to be leaving the frame.

This reminds me of a Orca's fin cutting through the surface on a cold overcast pacific northwest day. Stunning shot
