Thru the Pampas

While walking around looking for a composition, I noticed this clump of pampas grass at the far end of a parking lot.  I ended up standing in the middle of the grass because I liked how it added an extra layer without blocking too much of the scene.  I also like the tropical feel of this image even though it’s in the Pacific Northwest.  cool

Gina,

Wanted to comment before this gets moved to Man & Nature.  For one thing, you've nailed the processing on this one! Great color throughout.  I think the way you framed and composed this with the pampas grass is excellent!  Not too much that obstructs the view, but enough to create a very pleasant frame .  Nice depth too.  Well done.

I like the view here, showing off a nice setting sun and beautiful sky through the pampas grass.  It's very peaceful.  Because of the prominence of the dock, this should be in the Man and Nature gallery.
