Dancing Houses Amsterdam

Many years ago I spent a weekend at Amsterdam / The Netherlands with my wife and I have had also a lot of fun photographing  what people like to call the "dancing houses" ( in Dutch "grachtenhuizen" ) along the several canals that are in the city. The typical construction is a very narrow front and very tall because lots always have been very expensive there and not really build perpendicular which leads to a lot of slightly tilded houses, the "dancing house" enlightened

While there are a lot of images of these icons of Amsterdam I tought that I make something diffrent ...

Contax RTS III, Carl Zeiss Planar 1.4/50, F8, 1/125s, handheld

Scanned with NIKON Coolscan 5000ED, Photoshop curves, slight perspective correction, sharpening resizing

Cay-Uwe, this is a wonderful idea and a twist on perspective. I like it very much. The symmetry and overall placement and or crop is excellent and makes the focus front and center here. I would only clone out the small bit of white material 1/3 of the way up on the left edge there near the window frame. I think that is a slight eye draw, but overall a really nice photograph....laugh

Cay-Uwe,
This is a different take on an architectural photo.  Very creative.

Fantastic image, Cay-Uwe.  The reflection framed by this window works so very well in my opinion, and I love that warm light gracing the buildings and the lovely silhouette of the tree branches.  Excellent seeing that has resulted in a remarkable image.

I have decided to clone away the dirt as proposed by Paul, now that the image has been selected for the "Editor's Pick"  enlightened
