This is a sunrise taken on Otter Cliff looking back toward Great Head and Sand Beach. I had hoped for a little more color, but every sunrise can not be a blazer.

Thanks for taking the time to take a look and leave a comment or suggestion.

Ed, I really like this shot. It may not be a blazing sunrise, but the clouds are certainly beautiful anyway. I love the darker rocks at the bottom forming a base for the composition to stand on, and also sweeping curve of coastline and the awesome color on the trees in the background.

To me, the orange glow on the rocks looks a little bit hot. Not over-saturated, but slightly over-exposed (this could just be my monitor, of course).

Sweet light, this photo really makes me want to step into the photo and hike along those rocks. Looks really inviting!

Scenery, light and sky are all look great and your processing looks very "natural". The sky has very natural look and the luminosity at the horizon, right, looks very nice. I just wish for more fg to have it as full member of the composition. As it is now, there is a little bit to less fg, making it a bit distracting.  How about cropping it to pano?

Ed,

Gorgeous, warm light on the rocks.  If it weren't for the ocean, I would have guessed that granite could have been any number of spots in the Sierra Nevada range; even the light.  The composition works nicely - especially with that big eclaire-shaped  (sorry) cloud in the UR.  This is very well balanced.

I like the foreground rock as an anchor/base and think you have just enough, but I see Dietrich's point.

Wonderful land/seascape.

Ed, Beautiful scene with some very inviting warm light. I love the looks of the clouds and the wonderful colors you captured here. The comp seems to work quite nice for me as it is.

Color is well exposed and warm but not overdone.  The glow is impressive.  I'm ok with the FG but could also see a crop.

Ed,
Very pretty image with gorgeous lighting. Believe your composition works well as is but agree that additional foreground interest would be a plus. If it were mine, I would play around with dodging the foreground that is in shadow to increase its prominance and bring up some of the orange lichen.

Hi  Edcrying   Composing  a scene is very subjective...  i think the foreground wasn't so  great.   so  you composed  the sunrise on the cliff , with those delightful rocks   perfectly,     and with a beautifully lit background..
