Backyard Downy

Surprised to see a woodpecker visiting the crabapple tree in our backyard.  Temp outside was 4.  Took this photo through a window.  Which I think caused some loss of IQ.  There was a slight wind.

Nice light, habitat and head turn. I don't notice any loss of quality.

Pretty good image quality for through the window, John.  I wouldn't have guessed it.  Great pose.  I'd be tempted to add some blur to that main branch that crosses behind the bird.

The top of the head is a tiny bit soft but taking images through windows has its drawbacks.  It is a nice pose.  And blurring the BG a little could help.  Maybe the haze filter could sharpen it up.

A pretty shot of this little Downy. I agree the head is a bit soft. But the rest of the detail is strong for having been shot through a window.
