Annually, the National Western Stock Show is held in Denver. Ranchers from around the country bring in their prized animals for judging. In preparation for the judging, the animals are bathed, blow dried, trimmed and meticulously groomed. I jokingly asked one rancher if he spent more time grooming his animal then he did on himself. He said, "without a doubt". Steam can be seen rising at the front of the animal as the temps were in the 20's. Taken with an E-M1 and 12-40 lens at 1/400, f/3.2 and ISO 200. Richard

Yes Richard, the National Western Stock Show in Denver is indeed a beefy experience that one need to attend before sitting down to a steak dinner.  Some of these animals receive incredible care just to be at their best for the show.  The textures and colors of your image well portray some of what goes in to top dollar per pound.
