The sea lions have it pretty easy when the hatchery salmon are returning.  There are so many salmon they don't have to work very hard to get their fill.

Sony ILCE-6000, FE 70-200 F4G @ 200 mm, ISO-100, f4.0, 1/400, hand held.

Gary, this is a good look at this sea lion and it's catch, plus the fine splashing action.  It took me a bit before I recognized that the objects in the lower left were salmon, but I think they add nicely to the story and your comment about the easy fishing.

Excellent closeup shot, Gary.  The two salmon breaking water in the foreground really convey the abundance of fish here.

You had to be close to take this one.  Nice catch (for both of you) and good framing.

Great shot, Gary! Love the stop-action and splash but the icing on the cake are the three additional salmon in the LLC. Sea Lion whiskers look impressive enough to be weapons! laugh

Great action shot Gary!  The frozen splashes certainly add to the moment.  Like this guy's eyes.  Holds up very well in the enlargement; fun to view!
