I was exploring the ruins of Mission of San Borja when I entered a dark chamber and saw this at the far end. I was drawn to it like a beacon of light for it's symbolic value and attractive lighting. It was so dark in there that the Live View simulator wasn't capable of showing the image at the necessary exposure. So I took several, one f stop apart and used this one.

Please comment how you feel about this image.

This reminds me of a video game - opening a door and entering into a new portal, perhaps you have found the chalice you have been seeking.  This is a great story telling image especially with the hints of footprints leading in and out

Excellent!!!!! Great light, subject and compelling image. A lot of symbolism can be read into this one.

Thank you guys for your comments. Harley talked about symbolism:

I usually don't create such big frames and one crop consideration used the doorway as just a frame to show the interior. But the much larger frame was chosen to show the spiritual journey from dark to light. The frame here is part of the story.

Well stated, and your thoughts and the idea was well conveyed here, Igor.
