Snowy Owl Waving Wings

This Snowy Owl was at the Syracuse airport in December 2013.  Light was flat.  Image is a fairly large crop - about 50%  7D2 with 500 F4 and 1.4 TC. The owl is perching on a light dome in the parking lot of the airport.  Thanks for looking.

Ed, a stunning high-key capture! Love the detail in the eyes, plumage and talons, and I like the crop.

As always, good to see your work!

Excellent job on this Ed.  You pulled off the white-on-white beautifully.  The pale grey arc of the light dome is a very cool added element of the composition.

I really like this high key style. The details look sharp, I just wish it would given you a little more head turn with eye contact. Well done!

Ed: what a great shot. The pose, perch and that little bit of color that the eyes add make the photo special. Techs look fine. Richard

This is a really cool image.  I would have never thought to go looking in an airport parking lot.

Love it.  The pose is killer and the image is beautifully exposed.  Wish for more eye contact.  Never would have guessed the perch.

Gorgeous shot.  Has a zen-like quality in its stark simplicity, only a touch of color in the eye..
