Canyonlands National Park - Utah

At first I was dissapointed that I left the bit of road in the lower portion of the frame. But, the more I looked the more I liked how it really gives a sense of the immense scale of the area. This view is from Dead Horse Point looking across the COlorado River into Canyonlands NP. Thanks for looking and leaving a comment.

I've been on the road to nowhere many many times, but I've never got to see this.

I like the road left in. It does give perspective. The colors are great so the Velva and polarizer did their job. So did you; great presentation.

the road is one of the little touches that makes it, I think. Super colors! You were correct to only include a sliver of sky, I think. This is an excellent example of how relatively inexpensive gear can create outstanding shots!

Wow.
That is one gorgeous shot. Loads of color and depth and detail. It's so rich! It just invites you to explore. I just keep looking at those various bluffs in the distance. Good comp; keeping the ends of those ridges, on the left, really adds to this for me.
Very well done.

Doug,

Beautiful. I love the rich colors of this shot. There is so many things to keep my eye in the frame. Good composition. Keep up the good work!

I think you've hidden the road pretty well, and it doesn't detract from the image.

It's not a raod to nowhere - it goes a lot of places worth photographing!
