Hi Everyone! I've been part of NPN for a couple years now and my dad and I thought I should introduce myself!
I live near Pincher Creek, Alberta with my family, and we are out in the mountains and forests and grasslands near our home all the time with our camera gear looking for wildlife to photograph. My dad is a professional photographer and my big sister, Jenaya, got into wildlife photography when she was 13 and I fell in love with it not long after. I started getting more serious when I was seven, and a little later joined NPN to help me get better. I just turned 11 and can't wait to see what photo adventures I get to have this year!
I really like all the other photographers here and all the helpful comments and suggestions they give. I love wildlife photography and want to do it when I grow up, too.
Mostly I use one of my dad's backup camera bodies and a Nikkor 300mm f/4D IF-ED lens, usually with Nikon's 1.4x teleconverter, but I got to use my dad's 300mm f/2.8G IF-ED VR lens during the elk rut this year and it's my new favourite so I got my dad to take a picture of me with it when a magazine needed a recent picture of me this fall. This is taken on the slope of one of the mountains in Waterton Lakes National Park, right where I photograph bighorn sheep sometimes. Bighorns are my very favourite subjects, but I also like photographing foxes, elk, owls and probably most anything else I find.
