Hello to everyone!

I've been looking at the great imagery posted to NPN for some time and finally decided to share some of my work.  Home is South Louisiana where one is always close to beautiful locations and an abundance of wildlife.  The picture of me was taken at one of my favorite places, Lake Martin, by a close friend, John Ritter.

I have been into photography since high school, and as the photo suggests, it was the film days--ugh!  While a career as an R&D hardware designer kept me away from photography over the years, I have returned to it in earnest since my retirement five years ago.  While I enjoy a variety of subjects, my favorite is Wading Bird photography, and here we are blessed with an abundance of them--in some of the most beautiful tropical settings.

I'm looking forward to developing my technique and learning from the terrific photographers that are members here.
