Pantanal Jaguar

Here's another shot of the older, big male Jaguar we photographed a few times on our Brazil tour.  As I said in the previous post he is blind in his right eye but still hunts well.  At this point he had gotten up from the shade and sat seemingly posing for us photographers on the riverbank before setting off on his evening hunt.

Hello Nate.... A Seasoned guy....has so much character...the first thing I see is his tongue , which adds to the capture! I think the bright top right yellow , could be toned down some , so not to distract. and the top of his head., that could also be toned down a small amount.
Great to see , he is obviously not under much human pressure here !

Thanks for sharing...

Excellent work and great perspective.  If mine, I would darken the background bright spot just over his head.

Hi Nate,

This guy has a lot of character--tough and well seasoned for survival.  I would darken the light spots in the Bg as my only suggested edit........................Jim

Love the low angle and background. A good story of survival against the odds.

Cheers,

Hisham.

It's a dream of mine to see these guys do their thing in Pantanal.
Nice image and the blind eye really adds some character to this dude. Cool shooting angle thanks to the boat as well/
