Sunset Owl

Yesterday I was able to venture to a large grassland complex that is the wintering grounds for two short-eared owls.  Unfortunately there are quite a number of photographers who have "discovered" the site so there tends to be a crowd, but yesterday wasn't too bad.  I separated myself from everyone else and tried different angles to try and get the best shot.  For this one I was lying prone in the grass to ensure a clear viewshed behind the bird.
