Sandhill Crane

One from this morning taken from my car. I had to handhold the 600 so I lost a little sharpness while doing complicated yoga poses with the lens from within my Prius. Slight crop for comp, shadows & highlights, K5 IIs 600 mm f5.6 (1/2000 sec at f7.1, ISO 500)...........................Jim

The hand held aspect, unfortunately, shows up a bit in the sharpness of the head, especially. However, this is still a really solid image. Love the rusty colored feathers.

It really blends in with the background Jim. Sounds like some tight maneuvering inside a Prius with the big lens. I like the square crop here.

I like the golden brown coloring of the crane and the overall color palette here Jim. The bokeh to the left of the bird looks a bit odd, maybe heat haze. I can relate to maneuvering a long lens in a Prius as I often shoot from mine. Overall a fine image. devil
