Cattle Egret
by SandyRichardsBrown
Have been so frenetically busy, haven't picked up my camera in over a year - feels great to have time to be back here again.
Hi to the many old friends and welcome to the many new faces I see! Blessed Easter to all.
What a year - Mother finally and mercifully passed on at 94 after 12 years of Alzheimer's, Jim and I got married in October, we are selling the CA house and have purchased and moved into a new house overlooking the ocean in Brookings, Oregon.
Father, 95, in Florida, is now very ill and I'm flying there every 4-6 weeks, alternating with my sister.
This delightful little fellow was nesting in a tree outside father's patio in DelRay Beach, Fl. I'm stunned and disturbed how few birds there are now, even in mating season, and noticed this at Sanibel the last few years as well.

6 commentsWe don't see this species in a flight shot very often. I like this composition with good placement for the egret and clean sky background.
I've only seen and photographed a million of these...
Thanks for the correction!
