I have not shot many landscapes since last fall, but I still have quite a few from October that I have not processed.
This one is from an early October hike of less than 4 miles, with a vertical gain of about 1,300 feet, which is about all I can handle in a day now.  But getting to the top of a cliff allows me to see out of the dense forest, for this view of the Great Range of the Adirondack High Peaks Wilderness.  Reaching those peaks requires a hike of at least 12 miles with over a 4,000 foot climb.  I can't cover that much territory in a day to touch the clouds, but I can still climb enough to admire the landscape.

I chose this wide view across two valleys to emphasize the distance to the far-off peaks.

Canon 5D3; Canon 24-105 mm.; Circ. Pol.

This is about half of a panorama of 6 vertical images stitched in PSCC

Reminds me a lot of NH's White Mountains.  The shadow diagonal cutting across the view helps define the topography and breaks up the carpet of green nicely.  The mix of yellows and greens adds a nice contrast to the reds in the distance.  Stunning view, the clouds add some sweet atmospherics. The entire pano must have been pretty cool as well. Can't think of anything that would improve this, fine image.

This is the reason people go to the East to see the trees changing color. Spectacular landscape and really dense forest. Nicely done.

Love how you have filled the frame with a tapestry of autumn color of these mountains and forests, the diagonals beckoning the eye to explore the patterns and valleys, and colors.  An image that evokes a real sense of being there in my opinion.  Spectacular.

DELICIOUS!!  I can just imagine myself standing on the rock peering out over the valley and the distant mountains.  The only scene like this I've witnessed is in the Smokies, but the air there is usually hazier.  The Adirondacks are so beautiful and you capture them so wonderfully.  This is gorgeous Wayne.
