Equipment: Nikon D7200, Nikkor AF-S 300/2.8, TC20E III (2x), G1325, RRS BH-55, Sidekick
Exposure: ISO 800, Aperture priority spot metered, 1/50th @ f/16

I’m still having trouble finding time for photography, or birds as subjects. But took this today through the glass patio door during a wonderful period of rain.

I like the arrangement of the birds, Richard, and I find the contrast between the two with open eyes and the two with closed eyes appealing to my sense of humor.  The latter don't seem to be enjoying the rain all that much.  A nice image.

I am really enjoying this nice lineup of mourning doves Richard.  They don't look quite as amused as I am however.  Excellent quality through the glass door.  We get few doves up here in the forest, but I have used a similar method (through the glass door), capturing band-tailed pigeons.  Hope you will be finding more time for bird photography, as I have always found inspiration from your work.

Hi Richard,
A nice composition with soft BG. You lost a little detail shooting through the glass, but the results are well worth the effort.  Opening the door would have frightened them and everybody would be bummed out. I  also like the way you went for the sharpest bird to be in an optimal position in the comp. .........................Jim

this is lovely.  Esp like showing the birds with open eyes.  The soft focus bgd with just a hint of green sets off the subjects just right.
