Gulf Islands Sunset

First, thank you for the comments and critiques on my last image.  I appreciate them.

Shot this on Gulf Islands National Seashore, near Pensacola Beach, FL.  In addition to having beautiful sugar white sand beaches, there are woods to wander and explore as well.  These snags were killed by Hurricanes Ivan and Dennis in 2004 and 2005.

Better viewed LARGE.

Lovely sky! I feel that the immediate foreground (the grassy parts) is a wee bit too bright, and that the overall photo could use some more contrast. Regardless of those nits, I am really enjoying this one!

Looks great to me, and I wouldn't change a thing. It's the varying shades of green that add interest, to me.
Fine detail and comp - very nice work!

Beautiful sky and scene. I might clone out the trees encroaching from the upper right and left? The bookends of dead snags really make this image!

A lovely scene, Bill.  The sky is beautifully inviting with it's mix of colors and clouds.  The two snags frame the scene well and, yes, the foreground opens up nicely in the larger view to complete a very inviting scene.

Great sky together with the tall dead trees. The fg scrub is less attractive, especially in the right half. Either tree with that sky would have been a good composition. I would clone out the tallest branch coming in from the left frame because it diminishes the effectiveness of that tree. The palmetto trees (I think that's what they are) are nice. In fact the left half of the fg is really quite good.

Nice image beautifully framed, Bill.  I would clone the right side tips entering the frame , other than that I wouldn't change a thing.

I really like the light in the foreground and on the sky. I'm a little mixed about the center area with the bright light. On one hand it's okay on the other hand it could probably use a little more contrast or some toning down of the highlights. But it is also a matter of choice and I can like it both ways. It is a style preference. I might like to see it done both ways and then choose.

I really like this, Bill. There is a certain serenity to it--like after a passing storm. The sky is wonderful, and I like that you held good detail in the foreground. Well done, sir!

This is fantastic. Wonderful colors and textures in the sky, set-off nicely by the dead snags. No nits.

Bill,

Gorgeous sky and like Harley, I really like the snags framing the scene left and right.

For me, my wish was that you had a higher vantage point to see more sky!  Also, like Roel I think the foreground is slightly bright, or maybe lacks contrast - relative to the sky.  But that's very minor.

No matter how many sunrises and sunsets we witness, they're always special moments.

Not much I can add that was not already said, so I'll tell you my physical reaction.

First that sky blew me away, and then I kind of zoomed back in my chair and noticed how perfectly the glowing clouds fit between those goal post snags.  I actually held up my arms and said "It's GOOD!"
