A fairly common bird in Southern Africa regularly posing on very uncomfortable bushes.
Taken in Central Kalahari Game Reserve,
Boyswana.

That soft light was perfect for catching the feather details and contrasting colors of the bill and legs. Nice of the bird to turn its head for you.

Arent these beautiful birds? You caught a sweet pose, interesting thorn bush, and clean BG. If this were mine, i think I would clone out that one thorn impinging on the tail.
