Thanks for the response to my last image which addressed many of my feelings on why it didn't quite work. Here's another image from Lofoten; you saw the same peak in another monochrome I recently posted. This time I caught a passing storm not long after I made the first image.

Coo!! very nice Kah Kit, Lofoten is one of those places that permits these wide angle shots and, yet still manages to keep the mountains significantly large in the frame.  Excellent shot.

Absolutely great how the top of the mountain disappears in the stormy clouds! I like this a lot, and my only suggestion would be a slight crop from the bottom. For some reason I don't really find vertical 2x3 comps to be very pleasing any more lately, so that is a personal taste thing. And this is a stunning photo regardless of the crop anyway!

The swirling clouds and snow create a wonderful mood Kah Kit.  Striking image.

Very nice, Kah Kit.  I liked the last one too from this location too, a bit more than this one, I think.  The width seems a bit tight (maybe that's what Roel was getting at).  I too would be inclined to go for a slight crop from the bottom with a bit of distortion too.  If you have a horizontal from this, I'd love to see it.

Brrrr, this is the very essence of Cold. Wonderful textures in the foreground and fun to see the rocks in the stream. I would expect the water to look more frozen than it does, but maybe I just can't see the detail well. The swirling clouds add lots of atmosphere and the tree is in the perfect place.

Excellent; wonderful drama. I especially like the rocks in the water contrasting with the surrounding snow.

The foreground pulls you in,  The single tree creates a sense of mystery. And the swirling fog creates a sense of modiness.  Together, it tells a story of a stark, cold, and fascinatingly beautiful place.

Beautiful moody scene. I would concur with the crop suggestions, but not a big deal. I like the monochrome presentation.

This is very nice, KK.  The drama in the sky and sweet texture of the snow around the little pool make a fine mono image.  My only suggestion would be to clone the straight diagonal line in the center of pool.  It is somewhat distracting to me in the large version.  Excellent image.

I especially like the way you brought out the texture of the foreground snow, not always easy to do and add a lot to the effect!

This feels tight to me for some reason. All the elements are nice and I like the processing, but it feels like you should have stepped back a bit..

Thanks for the comments. This was a difficult scene to frame, the foreground pool is much smaller than it looks. For the version to be released I already cropped a bit from the bottom but wanted to present the entire frame here to see what you all thought. Once again I have a much better version photographed at sunset where the clouds you see here are broken up catching some nice colour; that version I shot as a panorama so probably doesn't feel as 'tight'.

This is outstanding. Strong comp and very dramatic sky. B&W rendering works beautifully.
