Fall at Gold Creek Pond
by Steve Kennedy
This is a photo I took last October at Gold Creek Pond at Snoqualmie Pass in Washington State. It was very foggy when I arrived and I had to wait for it to clear a bit. Waiting was no problem because the salmon were spawning in the creek right next to me. I couldn't see them very well, let alone get a decent photo, but the noise they made digging in the gravel bed was very cool.
We had very little fall color. This was about the most colorful shot I had from the area.
