This is a new species for me. I thought this was a sparrow species until I did a little research. Not a sparrow at all. Looks like a miniature Meadowlark. The light level was pretty low, but I still think the image turned out pretty well. Processed using Lightroom 5 and Photoshop CC 2014 along with Light Craft's LightZone. Comments and critiques welcome.

Nice shot, Jerry.  Good detail and you did an excellent job on the exposure with that gray sky bg.

Nice capture of this new species for you, Jerry.  The bird is nicely exposed; you did a good job handling the low-level lighting.  Too bad it didn't cooperate with a glance your way, but we can't have it all sometimes.  These really are like miniature Meadowlarks--very attractive birds.

Hi Jerry,

The yellows and grays are a good combination in this image.  I wish that you had a little more light to get the eye and breast feather details to show up better.  Pose is great and I like the high key presentation. You did very well considering the lighting conditionsdevil....................Jim

Techs look spot on, Jerry. Pose and composition are also pleasing. Nice capture of this colorful species.
