This is shot from a few years back that I went back to and processed.
From Costa Rica, the Green Crowned Brilliant is a beautiful bird. The flowers are very small orchids.

Hi Keith,

Good use of the flashes to freeze motion. The composition is excellent and overall very pleasing image. The flower is Epidendrum radicans which does not provide nectar to its pollinators............................Jim

Just doesn't get more perfect than this! Love everything about it, but especially the colors and wonderful iridescence that you've caught on the gorgeous bird. Stunning shot.

Very nice image. Is the BG artificial or just close in vegetation? My question has to do with using flash to lighten the BG. I know a lot of photographers hang a conducive cloth as a BG for hummingbird with multiflash set ups. Are there ways to do this with a single flash, meaning lighten the BG?
