Deep in the Woods

In this wet woodland landscape the fallen trees often become almost embedded in the undergrowth as time goes by.

I am really enjoying the rich deep greens, so lush. I might burn or clone the brighter leaves along the bottom of the frame?

You really are capturing spring with your camera! Once again, the greens look sweet, very nice. Maybe burn the bright leaves near the frame at the lower left edge a bit?

This is my favorite of your spring images, Ian. The overcast lighting is perfect for showcasing the lushness of this woodland scene. My only suggestion would be to clone out or crop those two bright leaves along the bottom edge. Great work on this.

Ian, I'm really enjoying your woodland images.  So refreshing, particularly since we are beginning to heat up here in the desert of Southern Utah.  So very refreshing, I would expect to see gnomes and leprechauns. Very nice.

The two trees on the ground in the middle of the image give a place to focus and help the eye to move through a scene that could easily be very confusing. Very nice deep rich colors.

A compelling forest image, especially the top 2/3. The glow at the top is a nice touch. Agree with the two brighter leaves intruding into the bottom edge of the screen. You've done really well to make sense of the chaotic forest using the tree trunks as foundations to the composition.

While there is a lot going on in your image, your compositions leads me nicely through the scene and keeps my attention. You convey the specific atmosphere in a convincing way to me.
