Birds by the Bay

This is a composite of two bird photos and a texture. I would love feedback on it, as it is a new experiment with textures for me. I used the Flypaper textures, which I think are very pretty and interesting.

Thanks in advance for any comments or critiques.

I like this a lot. The golden color and the texture make it look like an ancient oriental painting. Have you tried this with only the 5 cranes (?) and the mountain leaving out all the other birds?

I think this is beautiful and the texture is perfect for this.  I think Jim's idea is an interesting one, also.

Kathy, the color and texture of the "background" works very well and does overall, this conveys a fine similarity to an Oriental painting.  I really like how the water birds disappear into the distance, while the cranes and that single tern(??) in the upper left add some fine changes of pace.  I also like the buoy in the upper right.  I would try cloning out the birds that are cropped by the edge, but I'm not convinced that doing so would be an improvement.  This works very well as presented.
