Texas Killdeer

I liked the "feel" of this one. This mother Killdeer was trying to keep up with her two young chicks. I thought she looked a bit exhausted. Processed using Lightroom CC (2015) and Photoshop CC (2015.5) along with Light Craft's LightZone. Comments and critiques welcome.

Love that red eye and the pebbles underfoot Jerry. Nice lighting on this and very nice BG.

Excellent light! I like the over the shoulder look; still I could wish for more of a body turn. Love the low angle on this shot.

The second oof killdeer makes this this image for me, Jerry. I also like the low angle, habitat and the light. She does look frazzled. Like Phil says, a bit more body turn would have been ideal.

I like the low angle, look back pose and colors captured.    He gave you just enough of a head turn to make this work.  I might consider cloning out the OOF background bird and taking some off the top, but that is just a personnel preference.

I really like your point of view here. Killdeer are like the gravel.  And you really got nice color in the orange feathers.

Nice low angle Jerry and good decision on the comp with the other BG bird. It would look weird cropped any other way.
