Beautiful detail and a classic pose of my favorite nuthatch. If it were mine, I might back the sharpening down just a hair, but otherwise this is excellent.

Fine pose and backdrop, Mike. The perch and lighting are also very pleasing, and I like the way you have composed the image.

Loving that reddish-brown bg Mike. Great pose and funky perch. The detail in the Nuthatch is very sharp. Nice work!

This nuthatch lines up so nicely with the perch. It's as if they were made for each other and that really helps the composition. The reddish-brown background blends nicely with the color of the bird.  I agree with Jim's comment about the sharpening. Otherwise a very nice photo.

Excellent pose and detail, Mike, and I like the perch and bg.  The flash is showing a bit more than I care for.  For my taste, I Think I'd back it off another 2/3 stop or so.

I like the pose and the BG color in interesting and the heavy color contrast makes your subject sing. Agree about backing off the sharpness comment (to me just a tad over done), but still very nice work Mike.

Nice capture for sure! Nuthatches are one of my favourite birds, and you've presented him wonderfully. I hope to see more from you of this little fella. By the way, the background is just gorgeous!
