One from the dock where I stayed with Mike Ramy in Florida this March.  It was a great place to spend sunrise.

7DII, Sigma 150-600 C @ 600 mm, handheld?, f/7.1, 1/1250, iso 1000, aperture priority, pattern metering, -1/3 EV.  Processed in LR5 & CS6.  Straightened and cropped mostly from the left, top and bottom to 6.7 MP before resizing.  Taken at 7:25 AM on March 23rd.

Comments and criticisms are welcome.

The orange stripes in the water are a great extra, Dennis.  I also really like the splashes of water behind the coot.

Hey Dennis,
So this is what's going on while I'm still sleeping . . .
Great entry for this WC and I love those sunrise colors in the water. Looks like you just had a fishing boat ease past to give you those gentle ripples.
Well done . . .  laugh

Love the coot outline and the water trail Dennis. The colors of the water are also nice and provide a nice grid. I kind of would like to see more of the reflection of the coot, but that is a personal taste issue as some may not like reflections like this and that might upset the balance of the composition.

You made an exciting image of a rather plain bird!  I like the colors, the water splash, and how you have light coming through the wing feathers.  Well taken!  Thanks for sharing.
