"Gardian"

A "gardian", which is what the French call their cowboys in the Camargue, rides across the rising sun as it illuminates an estuary near Saintes Maries de la Mer. He is on one of the magnificent white horses of the Camargue, which have evolved special traits like wide feet and an ability to graze on salty plants, as they work in the wetlands where the region's cattle graze. Canon EOS 7D Mark II, Canon EF100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS USMat 100mm, Manual exposure 1/1250th at f/8, ISO 1000.

Another great shot of the Cararque Charles. Nice sunset and it kind of takes you back to a different time when the horse was the preferred mode of transport.
