T-storm in Paradise

After getting pounded by wind, rain, and hail, this late evening thunderstorm moved on down the valley from our Montana home and I was able to get some storm images from the deck.  A nearly full moon lit up parts of the valley and the edges of the storm cloud while it's internal structure was lit by lightning.  In a couple of cases, long exposures allowed me to capture bits of lightning coming out of the clouds.  I posted an alternate view a couple of years ago, here.  (5D3, 24-70 f2.8 @ 27mm, f/4, 20s, iso 800, tripod)
This shows much better in the larger version.

The larger version is great, Mark.  I love the colors in the cloud and the shapes.  You really nailed this one.

Looks a little like an atomic bomb and the end of the world, Mark. Very dramatic and interesting lighting.

Mark, I like the stars above the cloud and how the lightning gives a purple glow in the cloud.  I might be tempted to clone out the brighter lights.
