Cooper's Hawk II

As I mentioned in my last post of this bird, it came back Sunday and in fact spent quite a bit of time in the back yard on three or four occasions, giving me ample opportunity to photograph it.  This was afternoon, but the even light in the rain shower made it work pretty well.  I'll post some other poses over the next couple of weeks.

7DII, Sigma 150-600 C  @ 600, hand held, f/8, 1/400, iso 800, aperture priority, pattern metering, -1/3 EV.  Processed in LR5 & CS6.  Cropped to 13.3 MP before resizing.  Taken at 4:04 PM on August 7th.

Your comments and criticisms are very much appreciated.

Thanks,

The rain offers up great drama here Dennis. I Love the raised foot pose, and the perch and your techs are excellent. Like to have a guy like this pay me a few visits. sad

Really nice catch!
Sweet posse, interesting log perch, and the rain streaks add a lot.
Fine work!

Love the pose, the rain streaks, and the color, Dennis. I might have cropped a little more off of the bottom so that the rail doesn't have anything under it.  My eye gets pulled to the lower right.  Having said that;  I'd really like to have this one as is in my portfolio.
Nicely done!

I love the rain in this Dennis. It really shows the environment they have to live in. The detail in the hawk is very good. Nice work!  devil

This is awesome, Dennis. I love the pose of the hawk, the great weathered split rail fence and the rain really makes it interesting. Great image.
