Common Raven

I find ravens to be an underrated subject, and I enjoy photographing them during my visits to Yellowstone.  This individual shows off a little personality amidst early summer wildflowers in Hayden Valley.

The Raven looks like he is not happy you are photographing him. Great job with the blacks and nice low angle.

Excellent job on processing the blacks, Max, and I like the low angle and setting.  I think it might have more impact if you took some off the right as there seems to be more space over there than the Raven needs.  Beautiful image.

You exposed and processed the blacks about perfect.
The FG flowers add a lot. An original look at the Raven, well done.

Thanks, everyone!  I'm back near the park this week, but have been cooped up inside every day working.  It's tough not to be able to get out and shoot some more with Yellowstone right next door. cheeky

I agree.  Ravens are one of my favorite birds.  I like the posture you capture, and my eye is somehow wanting a little more detail in the foreground flowers.
