This was taken in Ruaha National Park, Tanzania.
There had been a lot of rain this ear resulting in extremely long grass mercifully this one posed in a relatively short area.

HI Ken
The Bustard looks like he is trying to check out you.  Nice head turn and focus.

Nice light and I like the alert posture and eye contact, Ken.  I think i'd be tempted to clone the large seedhead to the right of the bird and maybe blur the oof bg a bit more.

This image really demonstrates how this bird's colors can blend into the environment, Ken. A great pose and very nice detail in the bird.

Very neat bird Ken. The feather patterns in the LP are well detailed, and I like your choice of composition. I would be tempted, as Dennis mentioned, to consider cloning the oof leaf cluster. devil

Thanks everybody, I must confess to have considered removing the seed head, but in end decided not to, I will give it another go.

Yes, it sure is tough to find things relatively out in the open!
sweet image with fine detail, and nice habitat.
I find the dried flower head,  so close to the head,  quite distracting.   If this were mine, I'd think about cloning it out.
