I like the comp with the lead in pond. Overall I think the image can use a bit more saturation and contrast.

Thanks, Dan. I agree. Here's a repost with more contrast and sat.

Scott, I liked the original but then after seeing the repost it gets even better. Looks like it was a good suggestion from Dan. It is a beautiful scene that you captured in a comp the looks great. love the reflections too. Nice work!

I think the repost is an improvement, Scott.  Not quite as impactful as your first image from here, but very nice none the less. Looks like a beautiful backpacking trip.

Ditto what Gary said.  There is something about the little island of silt that distracts for me (it doesn't really add interest and it does intersect with the reflection of the mountains.  Another possible improvement might be cropping to remove the lowest two rocks (just to the top of the lowest one on the right, keeping the heather or whatever wildflower that is).

Beautiful shot Scott. I like the repost better with the added contrast. The flowers in the FG are nice as well.

Most enjoyable high country image. The repost is the ticket, too. Very nice improvement.

The re-post is the ticket, Scott. I am on the fence with the crop suggested by Marylynne, but it might be worth a look-see. Nice work!

The repost is definitely the winner for me, Scott. I love the reflection of Mount Baker and the FG boulders and wildflowers anchor the image rather nicely. Great clouds BTW.

Maybe a minority opinion, I prefer the more "natural" less saturated image.  On those bright, super bright sunny high country days, things are not very saturated when the sun is high. There is a tendency in color for us to get into saturation wars. For me the less saturated image is the one I cn imagine as a large print without being garish.

Great Alpine country and an unusual treat to have the clear skies and sun!

Thanks for sharing!

Nobody mentioned the small top cloud being intersected by the frame. I would crop it out, clone it out, or enlarge it if the image taken had been cropped. I wanted to visit this spot this year and hope to do it next year. Looks like a great place.
