Hi all.

Another dahlia shot that I took recently. We have not had as much success with dahlias in our yard this year, but we are still getting some good ones.

Any and all thoughts appreciated.

Hi Nathan, colour, lighting, structure, composition all really come together. Personal taste and very minor but I would just loose the very bottom of the frame to avoid the curve on the bottom petal (and if you wanted to definitely keep 3:2 just a touch right) - A really strong beautiful image - Like it!

Beauty, Nathan. I like the exaggerated foreground and dof. I agree with Mark's crop suggestion. Taking a little off the bottom avoids having it look like the bottom petal was inadvertantly clipped.

This is really different (the POV) from most dahlia images I've seen, and I think that makes it very special.
