To me, I think the trees look blurry, I tried to increase the sharpness but did not have much luck. Any constructive criticism would be greatly appreciated! This is what I shot with:

Nikon D3200
18-300mm f/3.5-6.3 lens
ISO 100, f/11, 1/100, 116.0mm

Welcome to NPN, Kayla! Yes, the image is uniformly soft. Is the RAW file soft, as well? If so, the softness is likely due to camera movement. Was the camera hand-held? If so, I suggest using a tripod with that lens. In fact, I suggest using a tripod as often as possible. I do like color in the trees and the mountain.

Welcome to NPN Kayla. Beautiful colors and setting. It does appear a bit soft and Preston is right about a tripod, or vibration reduction of some kind.

Kayla, without a larger version (1600 pixels long axis) it's hard to see the fine details.  Certainly the mountainside with all of it's colorful trees looks uniformly soft, while I can't tell about the tree on the left.  With this big/heavy of a lens, hand holding at 1/100s is likely the culprit.  A rule of thumb is that for hand holding you need to be using a shutter speed that is 1/focal length or faster.  In the case of a big zoom like this, I'd play it safe and use at least 1/250s at any focal length.  A good tripod is an investment than many photographer's put off, but it is often more important than a new/different lens.
