I loved the interplay of lines at Mesquite flat dunes this past March.

I absolutely love the shapes, arcs, and shadows in this image. Masterfully thought out and crafted Navin. The color looks a little too "goldish" but I'm on an uncalibrated, crappy work monitor so it might not be appearing correctly for me anyway. Can't wait to see it on my home monitor. Wish you had a large version.

This is awesome, Navin, one of the best "dune" photos I have seen.
The comp is perfect.

Navin: Dunes are some of my favorite subjects because of the wonderful play of light, shadow and texture like you have here. Well seen and captured.>=))>

That is a wonderful dune abstract. I just love the interplay of the fold lines of the ridges. There is a hint of symmetry, I always like that. The small scale ripples counterpoint the large scale ridges. And the golden light is simply beautiful. Great image.

Perfect composition: curves, tones, colors. Very disappointed there was not a large image to enjoy.

Yes, the curves are glorious, Navin. The is very sensual (as good dune images often are) and very warm. The distribution and the "swing" of the bright areas looks great.

I, too, am a fan of this dune abstract. There is a very soothing balance to this image. I think it's because symmetry is implied, yet it's not symmetrical. Well seen and captured.

This is one of the nice dune abstracts I have seen, Navin. The somewhat high contrast, and the warm color of the send work really well, here.

Thank you for your comments, very much appreciated... my apologies for not posting the large image. Here's a link to a 1000px version. What is the new size that we can upload to NPN?

Lovely, Navin. This has wonderful curves and light. The color feels a little intense to me, but that's a matter of taste. This would look great printed large!

Gorgeous image Navin, I love the composition you created here. To me it calls to mind film images that had extremely high contrast and completely black shadows, which I often prefer to the more evenly toned digital images we create now where there is some detail in both shadows and highlights. That might be more realistic, but there is something to be said for the simplicity and elegance of pitch black shadows. Well done.
