Really nice Nate. The background really shows this gal off well. The flash looks very natural. Well done.

Nice detail in the face and feathers, and a beautifully clean background Nate. Excellent work with the flash as well.

The flash worked very nicely on this one, Nate.  Excellent detail in the bird.  Too bad the perch eas at such a large angle, but not much you could do about that.

Great catch Nate, I like the diagonal perch and that smooth background really makes the bird stand out. Sweet detail and use of flash.  devil

Very interesting looking species with a great background and perch, Nate. You got very good details all around. The flash fill also looks very natural. Did you try a higher f-stop to get the tail and more of the perch in focus?

Thanks for your comments everyone. Govind, I would have liked to take some at a higher F-stop but the bird didn't cooperate, he didn't stay on the perch for more than a few seconds.
