Immature Bald Eagle

I found this immature eagle in Yellowstone's Lamar Valley. I really liked the scraggly tree and the eagle's over the shoulder look. Processed using Lightroom CC (2015) and Photoshop CC (2015.5) along with Light Craft's LightZone. Comments and critiques welcome.

I like this one a lot Jerry.  The eagle is posing nicely on this great snag perch.  Nice background too!

Nice expression, the bird looks somewhat irritated enlightened... Nice match with the tree. Well seen and executed, cheers, Hans

Very nice Jerry, I like the snarly tree too. He posed nicely for you. Maybe it's my monitor but it appears a little flat to me. Maybe a a slight contrast boost... something to check. Cool shot!

Nice shot Jerry. You made the most of your trip to Yellowstone. I might consider a bit of a crop off the top and off the left side on this. Not a big deal, just for balance.

Nice, Jerry.  Excellent pose and perch with good detail.  I think I'd look at a bit narrower composition on this with some off each side and maybe a touch off the top, but that's just my taste.

Well seen and photographed, Jerry. The tree is a great secondary element in the image. I feel making this a vertical crop and boosting the contrast a bit will enhance the image.

Hey Jerry,
Excellent capture and a nice composition that has raised several opinions on the processing choices. The background, perch and subject all work extremely well together but I do agree it feels a bit flat. My choice to change that would be a trip thru Topaz Clarity to see where it takes you. As far as cropping, I'm a big fan of a square format and it works well here but does feel a little centered since the subject is looking left, I find the suggestions for anything other than a little off the right and top confusing. As presented the cropping will work really well for a magazine cover or advertising with nice space available for copy.
Well done . . .  devil

Nice rim lighting on this youngster Jerry, I might crop a bit off the top and right to move it out of the center some. devil
