The larger version helps to appreciate the details, please view cool

I have just returned home for a 17 day trip/honeymoon to the beautiful state of Colorado, and I all I can say is wow. What a beautiful state to visit in Autumn, and it is the perfect state to visit for any outdoor enthusiast. My wife and I timed the colors just about right, and this scene was just gorgeous to see in person.   The details are awesome in this image, hard to really appreciate them here, but a print really shines with detail and color. I composed this image on the back ridge line of a whole foods in Frisco, CO. The entire mountain side was covered with beautiful aspen color, and creating compositions was such a treat. I have some more time now since all the wedding planning has finished up to share and comment on all the beautiful images  here on NPN. Talk to y'all soon.

Thank you so much for the time you have made to look at this image, and any comments are very much appreciated

You've got quite the golden glow here, Ryan.  There even a shimmer in the gold of the smaller version.  I like the "big bang" up front and the smaller patches in the back angling their way up the mountain.  I'm working on my uncalibrated laptop, so I could be wrong, but there seems to be quite a bit of blue in the shadows near the top and hints of blue in the trunks at the bottom.

Those colors are pretty amazing!  In the right lighting they just explode.  Looks like you found some exceptional conditions.  I always find these kinds of images difficult to decide where to crop a comp when composing.  My only suggestion might be to crop a little off the top as the green top seems a little to dominating.  A tough call, so go with your instincts.  Stunner.

Hi Ryan. Beautiful image. I agree with both Mark and Harry. The upper green trees seem to have a slight bluish cast; and I think I like this a little more without the dark trees at the top. Beautiful image either way.

Ryan, What a beautiful scene. Those aspens are just beautiful. Looks like you were there just at the right time...and had a good time too. The comp works for me but a little off the top would work as well. Congrats! Nick

Beautiful image Ryan. These colors just jump out at you. I also agree with the crop of just a little off the top.

Very well composed and taken!  I do like the sprinkling of greens among the gold.  Thanks for sharing.

Wow, this is killer. The intense yellows and golds are gorgeous and set off nicely by the dark greens. I think I agree with Harry on a slight crop off the top.

Wonderful fall colors. I particularly like the green firs popping out from the yellow here and there. I think the base of those trees are a bit too close to the edge of the bottom frame. I can see the crop from the top, or you could make a vertical of the right half and let that very top yellow play a more important role. It's a fine image as is, though. Good eye in seeing this.

Congrats on the nuptials! Sweet image, too. I would back way on the blues in the upper area, but I like it uncropped as is. If you hit CO right, the colors can be astounding! And looks like you timed it right.
