I came across this guy while descending Dunraven Pass in Yellowstone. Not sure what species of raptor this is.  Processed using Lightroom CC (2015) and Photoshop CC (2015.5) along with Light Craft's LightZone. Comments and critiques welcome.

Well my guess is the Peregrine but I could be wrong.  Nice composition.  Good color and nice background.   The large image really stands out.

Sweet image, Jerry.  I love that cone covered pine branch.  I'd guess Red-tailed Hawk, but I'm far from an expert on raptors.

My thought was also Red-tailed Jerry. Great background and I love that branch with the pine cones and ice. Cool shot!

Jerry,
It is not very often that the perch is as beautifully captured as this one, the raptor is great as welldevil

Really pleasing comp on this image Jerry. I like your decision on the amount of perch shown and how you framed this. Very nice! Looks like a Red-tailed to me.

I agree Red-tailed Hawk, this is a wonderful shot Jerry, the tones of the background but especially the composition with the full branch with the cones make this special, one of your best. devil
