Song Sparrow

I know it's just a Song Sparrow but it posed nicely for me and I had good morning light to work with. I was out looking for Hawks but all I found was this cute little bird and a few other sparrows and starlings. It's kind of a slow time for birds around here right now. Thanks for looking, comments & suggestions are always appreciated!

Hi Steve- It looks like you've got a fantastic shot of a song sparrow.  Check out the streaked breast and the long reddish -brown tail. devil

Very nice image of the sparrow.  Good color and detail.  I like the pose and head turn.   I'm not sure about the leaf on the right.  In some ways it offers balance to the image and in other ways it's and eye magnet.

Thanks Bob for the correction on the ID of the sparrow. I checked it out and I agree. That's what I get for assuming. Thanks again!

David - I was indifferent about the leaves in the corner. I thought I'd see if the issue came up. Thanks for your input.

Excellent pose and a nice diagonal perch, Steve.  Good detail in the bird as well.  Nice job.

No need to apologize for the species, Steve. It's what you do photographing them that matters. A really nice shot, and I think the leaves are a plus and not a negative.

Delightful!  Perfect pose and head-turn, sharp throughout, nice perch and great complimentary BG, and some added interest from the  blades of grass.
In the large version, it looks like there might be some cloning leftovers to the left of the beak and on the middle bottom.
Very sweet shot!
