That's quite a tree, Sandy - on the move apparently ! I like the composition, and the serenity of the sky is a lovely foil for the rugged canyon formations. A very charming image.

Sandy: I know this tree! Shot it myself on our last trip to Bryce in late 2015. A fine subject in very nice light. Well done.>=))>

Very nice execution on this image --the colors and soft lighting is great as is the definition in the tree. I'm a bit on the fence about the rocky bare ground at the bottom. It's hard to get away from, especially for those of us not mountain goats, but it draws my eye a lot.

Great light and color for this composition. To me the tree feels like it's in the way instead of adding to the composition. Perhaps a lower angle with branches totally against the sky or the opposite would work better. The fact that the green needles completely merge into the background trees is an issue,

I was there in 1997 I am amazed that the little tree is still standing. I assume it isn't an older photograph. Love the exposed roots and the amazing pinnacles of Bryce beyond.

Ian, happily, it's alive and very well and still a major icon.
Clearly, it's adapted perfectly to the climate, little rain, and exposure - both in heat and freezing cold, and the frequent photos!

Really like this. I feel like I'm going to roll off down into the canyon from this perspective. To be a little nitpicky, I would clone out the branch, root, or whatever in the FG.

Sandy, I have a photo of that same tree and I have seen one posted by Pete Bengeyfield too. I am amazed it is still clinging to life on the edge of Bryce. Love the composition and the color. Wonderful.
