One thing Chrissy and I were anxious to check out on our Canadian trip was the osprey nest on the Bow River Bridge that we had discovered on our first Canadian trip in 2009. Sure enough it was still there and occupied. I'm not good enough at avian ID to know if this is a male or female. On our original visit there were chicks in the nest but that was earlier in the year and apparently this year's chicks must have already fledged and left by the time we arrived in September. I liked this shot up through the bridge girders. All comments welcome.>=))>

The lines are very interesting and great detail in the birds feathers against the light blue sky. Amazing how the bird is the same color as the nest of course this is no accident. Just thinking is the out of focus bridge what makes this pop or what would it look like if the bridge was in focus, trying to imagine it? Colors are nice too. I like this very much.

Bill this osprey does kind of have that I'm in timeout look that our kids got from time to time. Nice job framing it up.
