I think the cool tones of the tree trunks and the warmer foliage come together for a pleasing whole.

Pleasing whole indeed. The color combo along with the blend of warm and cool tones works beautifully, Mike. My first thought was this was taken in Acadia. Did you get this yesterday with the rain? My only suggestion is a small crop from the top to get rid of those couple of patches of sky. Gorgeous image.

Nice strong image with the vertical element of the trunks and the colorful leafs in between. Good comp/crop too with no trunks bleeding off the edges.

Beautiful shot, Michael. I really like how the viewer is looking down and through the tree trunks to the smaller trees. Color is excellent.

Wow. Sweet.
It's almost abstract. You can easily stare at it for a long time. The comp is great. It's balanced, and the room in between the trees really makes your eye go all through the image.
Well done.

Gorgeous. The angle, composition, and the contrast between the trunks and the leaves behind them makes this very interesting, like several images of the leaves, each with a dark frame.

I agree - the cool-warm contrast is gorgeous - but the composition is VERY strong!! Don't touch a thing, the two aspects work together very well, in my view.

Love the composition with its sprays of colour appearing at the different depths. I do like the strong warm/cool look; I also find the blues turning this almost to an abstract ( which is maybe what you intended )

Cold blue vertical bands with irregular patches of warm tones in between. Very pleasing indeed. The white spots of sky may seem a bit distracting, but without them the image might turn somewhat flat. So don't change a thing, I would say.

Outstanding work on this one Michael. I find these scenes to be much harder to compose than they seem at first glance; you've done a great job here.

Really love this. The splashes of colour among the verticals are wonderful.
