Transition

Acadia NP, ME

I always enjoy the changing of color during the fall season as the colors transition from green to the different shades of reds, yellows and orange. The higher ISO was needed to stop the leaf movement due to the constant windy conditions.

As always thanks for taking a look and leaving a comment or suggestion.

Really filled up the frame nicely, Ed. I like it as well.

That is bright!! Our leaves have been gone for months.  Nothing around here but bare twigs.
The branches and trunks showing through in this really help give it depth and help balance out the incredibly bright leaves.
Nicely done.

Excellent work, Ed. I love the flow this image has with the leaves waving from side to side and the vertical trunks add some more visual interest.devil

Oh yeah, those transitional leaves look great.  In addition to the excellent color, the composition here makes this image interesting.  The repeating tree trunks, and especially that brighter layer of leaves on the bottom are what does it for me in this one.

A beautifully organized composition, Ed.  The dark of the trunks nicely anchors the explosion of colour.  A real feel of autumn at the full here,

Nice job!  Hard to make a sensible composition out of all the possibilities available, but sucess!

Reminds me of a drive North through BC and coming up on the crest of a hill. The lady flager wearing one of those high visibility vests was almost invisible!

I suppose having to use a tripod somewhat obviated by the necessity to stop leaf motion, except for the greater compositional rigor imposed.

Cheers!

Ed, you found a great mix of colors here.  I also like the trunk placement, which often makes or breaks these types of images.
