MISSING - One Cub

Great Bear Rainforest of Northern BC Canada, where Grizzly Bear families form an integral part of the environment.
The tide was out but coming in strong, as we found this Grizzly Mom and three cubs (one cub missing & investigating) on a small island. The family was  very comfortable with our quiet approach and observations. The tide consumed the island after about 45 minutes , then they all moved off into the forest. A very special moment to be rememberd !!:)

Nikon D600, Nikon 200-400VR F4 lens on active VR, (while in the Floating Zodiac boat)
ISO 1800, @ F5.6, 1/250, Slightly cropped, one pass NR, Hand Held,

Comments appreciated

Love any encounter with Bears Bill and this must have been a cool sighting, especially with the cubs. Aren't they just the greatest to photograph and watch.

Bill if you have added any Contrast or Clarity I might back off, likewise the sharpening, it's looking a bit 'crunchy' on the bigger version IMHO.

Bill, I think it's great that you can see everyone's eyes here.  It does seem a tick dark to me, but overall it's a nice family portrait.

Really nice expression in all the faces, and charmingly grouped.  I really like that one cub with just the eyes peeking out and the row of little ears.  That one cub's hump is really pronounced, isn't it?

Bill: excellent capture. I really like the poses of all he bears and especially like the direct eye contact. Techs are spot on. Richard

The really excellent eye contact expression on all three is what makes this one special.  Nice.

Love the wonderful, relaxed looks Bill. The colors seem really nice and deep green like a rainforest. Great detail in the fur and grass.

Hello Ken,... miss seeing your submissions !
Yes, Mom was amazing, ... She seemed quite tired overall and very comfortable with our closeness. I think the three cubs tired her out  with them being so active , and her trying to be aware of surrounding dangers and just feeding them, would take a toll on her, after a long summer.
