In its best dress

I love this photo of some years ago but it had no luck. The Osteospermum is my favorite flower because it is very photogenic and always wears clothes with beautiful colors. So I have revisited its portrait for giving it a second chance.

D700, Nikkor 200mm macro - f/22 and ISO 200.

Thanks very much for your opinions and advices.

Hi Gigi, iI'm not sure exactly what 'having no luck' means but I like it! Indeed a very photogenic flower - A very nice composition. Not quite as 'outwardly artistic' perhaps as some of your newer work but I rather like it!

Gigi, everything you do is beautiful in itself and in your presentation of it.  This is no exception.

I don't know what you changed, Gigi, but it's beautiful in this dress.  The soft shadings in the whites and the curled petals are particularly appealing.

Gorgeous, dazzling sibject, Gigi, and superbly rendered. I first saw this on my lousy work monitor, and I thought the bg was black. I see it is now a nice dark green, which I prefer. I also like the square comp. Nicely done all around. devil

Really beautiful.  The colors really pop and contrast nicely against each other.  My only question would be whether a black background would work any better than the green one, though I like it as is-looks like a jewel in its case.

Gigi: A classic portrait of your favorite flower. Love the clear bright colors and the stage of petal development. Exceptionally good work. >=))>
