Another take on Kodachrome Basin as the clouds kept moving and changing. Suggestions and other comments welcome. D600, 24-85 @ 58, 1/125, f13, iso 200, cpl, gnd, tp.

I like this one, too, Scott. The light is very nice, as is the detail. My only minor nit is that I would like a little more room at the top. The color and tonality look quite nice, and I like the drama.

Scott, This is really nice and such a wonderful view. It works great for me as it is here. I think this one is my favorite from here so far. Nice work!
edit: went back and took time to look at the previous one from here again...hard call on which one I like best right now and since i really don't have to decide I'll go with both as favorites...cool

A great mix of colors in the land, shown of well by the light with a fine sky, Scott.  The color differences between this view and your previous post are amazing.  Both are great views.  I prefer the previous version because of the stronger sense of pulling the viewer into the picture.  The top 1/4 of the sky feels a bit dark here.

Interesting to compare this to your prior post. The cloud formation above is nice, but the light spilling on the slopes underneath is my favorite part.

Amazing clouds - we were just there a month ago, and I thought I got some good shots...until I see this. Pooh!  frown

Another great Kodachrome Basin shot Scott! Great dappled light and colors here. I agree with Preston about wanting a little more room up top. If you don't have the room in your file, I might crop down just a little. The very top of that cloud touching the edge bugs me a little. I could see lightening the upper sky just a bit as well.

Scott,

Yes, another wonderful, grand landscape image.  The light show you had that day sure made for some great opportunities and this one works beautifully like the others.  There's a little more drama in the sky which adds a dynamic to this. At the same time, that dark cloud is pretty dominant.  It's not a detraction or a bad thing, it's just that now it tells a different story really than the previous image.  Not sure if that makes sense...?

No nits or suggestions.

Another real nice take on the location. I agree with Preston about wanting just a little more room above the cloud at the top, but not at all a image killer, real minor. You had some stellar conditions and really took advantage of them.

This is my favorite so far of the three most recent images you have posted from here.  Great light on the landscape and I like the contrast better with this one.  Nicely done!
